First Solids

Gabriel has been fussy while drinking the last third of his bottle lately. We're not sure what the reason is. So yesterday (Monday), two days before his 5 month birthday, we decided to try something new to console him. We mixed the rest of the formula with a tiny bit of rice cereal. His first "solid" food! He loved it. He smiled the whole time and kept opening his mouth for more. So tonight, when he refused to finish his bottle again, we made him some more cereal. Again, all smiles. These pictures don't show how messy things got, but the majority of the food got in his mouth and was swallowed.
