7 Months

Gabriel turned 7 months old yesterday. Here is a list of things describing Gabriel at this point.

Gabriel is eating solid baby foods for lunch (rice cereal) and dinner (oatmeal, squash, peas). He can't get enough squash, but isn't so sure about the pureed peas yet. He likes his sippy cup, mainly to chew on and he gets a little surprised when water comes out.

Gabriel can roll easily from his back to tummy and back again. He can crawl when he wants to (belly off the floor). Mostly he turns in circles and scoots (army crawl) and reaches for toys very well. Gabriel can sit by himself. He'll only fall over if he's reaching for something too far away. He has great balance though.

Gabriel makes lots of noises. Lots of vowel sounds. He especially enjoys talking with fingers or toys in his mouth to assist him in making more complex sounds. He sometimes coughs to get attention. He has just recently started screeching. So far I think it's a playful experiment to see what his voice can do and how loud he can get.

Gabriel has two white lumps under his bottom gums, teeth slowly making their way up. He loves putting anything he can grab into his mouth. He will grab food out of mom and dad's hands in order to taste and gnaw on it.
