Moving soon

Less than two weeks until we move into our new house. We found a great duplex to rent in our price range in San Jose: 3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms with over 1200 square feet in the main house. Best of all, it's got an additional 460+ sq ft in the back as a sunroom. We'll be using it as a Rumpus Room/game room/craft room. I'm so excited, I'll actually get to work on sewing projects in a big area and spread out. And Paul can be in the same room playing video games at the same time. We think the cats will love all the space and sunny windows back there too. It's got a splash of a backyard (for tomatoes, Paul emphasizes) and a nice patio for BBQing.

But for now... it's time to pack. We're doing pretty well, except our tiny 850 sq ft apartment doesn't really have room for all of these packed boxes. And wow, I have such a long list of places that need our new address: Paul's work, all my freelance clients, phone, electricity, credit cards, banks, DMV, magazine subscriptions... oh yeah, and friends and family too.

DunDraCon

We went to a gaming convention and bought a booth for Saturday and Monday (President's Day holiday) to sell Paul's games. My friend Skot made our extremely cool sign, which impressed several people. We sold more games than we expected. It was an amazing experience!! It really proved that Paul's games are great, especially to people who don't know us or have never played the game before. Recognizing Paul's talent and the game's potential, 3 people asked for signed copies! A few people bought the games and played them immediately in the hallways. People would come to our booth and say that they wanted a copy for themselves because they saw others playing it and having fun with it!!

Beginnings

First belly picture. My generous aunt and uncle sent me some money for maternity clothes, so we finally made time to take our first belly picture in one of my new outfits. My belly is too big for jeans but too small for maternity pants yet--I'm living in those elastic-waist pants these days. I am 18 1/2 weeks here. We're counting down the days until the ultrasound at 20 weeks, which will assure us that our baby is healthy and will hopefully let us know if we're having a boy or girl!

Brothers

Just thought we'd post fun pictures of our babies, er, cats. The first pic really captures their personalities: Orion is interrupted from his bath as Io is getting into the picture -- Io always has to be into Orion's Stuff. The second pic is Io playing with his favorite toy: a plastic bag. It's hard to resist his golden eyes and plaintive meow when it is playtime.

Baby's First Picture

At the first doctor's appointment in November, a mini-ultrasound was taken to determine how far along the baby was. I was 6 weeks, 3 days in this picture. Note that the baby is the little white blob in the very center of the black part. We're at 15 weeks, 3 days now.

Christmas card

Here is our first post. This was our Christmas card for 2006. Paul wanted to make a gingerbread house. So I bought a kit while out one day. I think I suggested making a nativity scene and Paul thought to make it our Christmas card! He's quite the artist, eh?
