Adventure Man

I found Gabriel sitting in his MegaBloxs wagon yesterday afternoon. He barely fit, but I pulled him for a short ride around the front room.

This is a picture of Gabriel leaping from the couch onto the futon. This blur is all I seem to see of him now a days too!!! He is constantly climbing over the furniture and running around. He is officially talking too. We understand about half of what he says, maybe more now. My favorite word of his is still "zizzar" for "zipper."

Outside

We have enjoyed about a week of really warm weather, so we took advantage of it by playing in the backyard and at the local parks. Gabriel and Paul are finally over the colds they caught at New Year's too.
(I just love that last posted video of Gabriel, I hate to post anything new.)

Use the Fork

Gabriel is learning to use a fork and loves it. He quickly learned to say "I stab" and continued to say it all day. (He has used a spoon many times before but doesn't say "scoop" so enthusiastically.)

Smart Guy

While Paul was feeding Gabriel the other day and I was out, Paul said Gabriel played with his food. He pushed his zucchini on its side and pushed it around making "vroom" noises. Then crashed it into the edge of his tray and said "crash."

Today, Gabriel found a stuffed toy that had that plastic bit from a tag still on it. It bugged him. I told him I'd fix it. I grabbed the scissors and cut it off. Later, he was playing with a flashlight but he couldn't turn it on. He handed it to me and I told him it was broken and I didn't know how to fix it. So he lead me to the scissors so I could "fix it" (like I had the tag). He even tried his hardest to say "scissors." Clever little guy! He amazes us so much every day.

Puppet

Gabriel loves to put his hand in a puppet, or an oven mitt or a sock. He is playing pretend now. He fed Kermit the Frog some crumbs off the floor the other day. Gabriel also grabbed one of his shirts out of his basket and tried putting it on his stuffed leopard. Gabriel continues to talk to us and we try our hardest to understand him. His favorite consonants are "s" and "z" (snaps and zipper). I love how he says "scissors."

Merry Christmas

We had a wonderful and busy Christmas week. We enjoyed seeing so much of our families! Among the highlights, we went up to Paul's grandparent's house and enjoyed a few inches of snow! It was Gabriel's first experience with snow and he loved it. We are so grateful for the fantastic presents we received and for the good quality time we got to spend with family.
